Zero Week 1st day
Ok, well its been a little while since all this happened so bear with me. I decided to join army rotc, almost went split op in the reserves but decided not to do it because I would have the small chance of being called up to go to AIT and then iraq in my freshman year. So I am now going to UNC(northern colorado) and we are part of the RAM battalion at CSU. So when I applied for a 4 year scholarship I had to do all the stuff through that school.(didnt get it so im applying again). I was told about zero week and I was like, HELL YEAH!!!! So in late august I drove up to CSU. I ended up driving back and forth all 3 days(bad choice). So the 1st started at 9 30 am. Met some kids that are also UNC students and we filled out paperwork then we went to equipment issue. Got my BDUs(had to wait for ACUS. I got em now but boots are to big and need new ones), boots, ruck sack, summer pts, socks, kevlar, LBE(not LBV, us kids in rotc land dont get those yet) and a laundry bag. About the boots, i though 12 and a half would fit but they ended up to big, I couldnt tell at first because of the stell toes so at the end I got some knarly blisters which are still healing 3 and a half months later. Then we all went home. So I drove the 2 hours home and tried to go to bed early because I would have to be up at 0400 to get there by 0530(you drive faster when noone is on the road).
